Description |
Boomer is 5yr tri-colored paint gelding. He is 14.2 and about 980lbs He is a very easy going horse, I like a lot of get up and go horses and he is too laid back for me. My 6yr old and my 3yr old have taken him over. He stands to get bathed, be saddled, and fly sprayed. I can even stand up on him and wave my slicker around and he don't even flinch. we ride him in a hackamore or a halter and lead he has never needed nothing more so we haven't rode him in nothing else. He is a very loving gentle horse. My kids can lead him all over the yard; ride him up and down the dead end road we live on and I don't have to worry about him. He has never showed any bad habits, never offered to kick anything. He stands to be mounted, my 6yr old actually climbs him to get up in my saddle and then goes riding. He rides double and tripled (both mykids and I ) We even did a camp out in our back pasture for the kids we didn't have time to go anywhere and we had fold up chairs and saddlebags and you name it if we needed he had it packed on him behind the saddle, and me and my son rode him accross three creek crossing to get back there. He will be the perfect family horse, and he is built to be a good roping horse or work horse.
This spring I had him pulling my 3 tire pasture drag and he pulled like a champ, he pulled the kids in their sled this winter down the roads, he stands for the farrier. He is very wiling to please and to take what ever comes his way.
